About Us
Welcome to RubiArt, a beacon of creativity and social change founded in 2020 by community artist and educator Heather Poechman. Emerging from the heart of community engagement, RubiArt offers more than just art workshops; we ignite conversations and connections that foster inclusive, innovative, and engaged communities. Our mission, "Connecting Communities through Artful Conversations," drives us to harness the transformative power of art to unite, inspire, and enact positive change.
Our Journey
RubiArt was born from a vision to use art as a catalyst for social change, engagement, and cohesion. Our founder, Heather Poechman, identified the profound impact art could have on fostering a positive work culture, enhancing brand reputation, and improving employee satisfaction. Through community-based art workshops, we've created a unique platform for businesses, municipal organizations, and various entities to connect with their audiences on a deeper level. Our work is rooted in the belief that art can break barriers, open hearts, and inspire minds toward greater diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Our Mission
At RubiArt, our guiding light is our mission statement: "Connecting Communities through Artful Conversations." It exemplifies our commitment to using art as a medium to bridge gaps between diverse groups, encouraging dialogue, understanding, and shared experiences. We believe that through these artful conversations, we can catalyze meaningful social change and foster a sense of belonging among individuals and communities alike.
Our Core Values
Three fundamental values guide our operations and interactions at RubiArt:
Innovation: We continually seek creative ways to use art as a tool for impact.
Inclusivity: Ensuring that our workshops serve as safe spaces for expression and learning for everyone.
Community Engagement: Actively working to build and strengthen connections within and across communities through art.
